Born in Wales, U.K. into an abusive family environment with a violent father and later
abandoned by a mother who was unable to take care of me, I suffered the excruciating
trauma and pain of abuse and neglect. I felt unloved, unwanted, and all alone.
Ever since I can remember, I have had a feeling my life was about something “more”
although it would take many years to understand what this meant. However, this feeling
guided me to try to heal.
Leaving my marriage in California for Bali, Indonesia and having lost everything, I had no
idea how I would keep living. Healing became a matter of “do” or “die.”
I completely committed to my healing as though my life depended on it, because it did. It
was the hardest thing I have ever done. But step by step and piece by piece, my life started
to transform from the inside out as I began attracting loving, supportive people.
By now a Singer-Songwriter having written two albums, and having trained as a Trauma
Specialist, I knew I wanted to share my story and healing journey through my music and
performances to inspire hope. I also wanted to pay forward all the insight, learning and
wisdom gained to help traumatized children to heal and to provide training on traumainformed care to people taking care of children from tough backgrounds or with trauma in
their story.
It brings me the ultimate feeling of soul-fulfillment and joy to discover that pain can be
turned into wisdom to share and help others to heal. I passionately believe there is love
beyond pain and hope beyond despair. We can truly live the life we were born to live, and it
is my honor to support you.
“‘She Sings, She Soars’ is an album of extraordinary beauty. It exudes empathy and a way
forward for those who have experienced great adversity to discover their inner spirit and
love themselves again. It provides a sounding board to heal the trauma of the past, to
evolve from dark experiences, to grow and live the life they were born for.” – Destiny
